Call / Payment Process:
Step 1: The customer calls your call center and speaks to an agent or chooses from your main menu to make a payment via IVR.
Step 2: The customer chooses to make payment by credit card.
Step 3: The agent (or IVR) seamlessly re-directs the call to Datatel's PCI Ready Telephone Payment Gateway, which is tailored to your company branding, together with account reference data. Depending on the integration solution deployed, this can be achieved using the keypad on the agent phone or automatically via CTI integration. Once in PCI Mode the customer uses their phone keypad to enter their: Card Number, Security Code and Expiry Date.
Step 4: The callers' card details are transmitted to the credit card processor for authorization, utilizing processor specific secure APIs. After the transaction is authorized (or declined), the outcome of the transaction is communicated to the caller and posted to your back-office in real time. No credit card data is recorded or saved in any databases and the caller is redirected where required.
As a Hosted solution, you don't require special hardware or software licenses for Implementation. Capital expenditures are eliminated, plus operational costs and deployment time are dramatically reduced.
